iPhone vs professional

iPhones are so great to have to document a great time you are having: fun night out at a concert, friends celebrating a time together, a nice hiking trail, your cute puppy etc  However, there is no way it can have the capability to provide a beautiful portrait. An image that makes the background soft and pleasing and the image sharp just stands out. Everything is one dimension with the iPhone.

My assistant Shelly took this photo on top with her iPhone and I took the bottom two with my 5D Mark IV  and a 70-200 mm lens.  I didn't even use my Profoto light for this shot. These were taken to compare the iPhone next to a SLR camera with same light conditions. Then, because I have the ability to shoot in RAW, I can play with the image for creative effects.
